short version: we keep as little as we can. here's all of it.
what we store.
if you sign in with discord (only to rsvp, or to run the site), we keep your discord id, username, display name and avatar, your rsvps, and your sign-in sessions. a session is a random token in a cookie; we only store a hash of it.
what we don't.
no email addresses (we never ask discord for one), no tracking cookies, no ad networks. at most we use cloudflare web analytics, which is cookieless and doesn't identify you.
cookies.
three small ones: your theme choice, which banners you've dismissed, and a session if you sign in. none of them follow you anywhere else.
rate limiting.
to stop abuse, some requests are counted per ip address. the address is hashed first and the count is kept for minutes, not stored.
deleting your data.
ask in the discord, or email crew@bakedskate.org. an owner deletes your account, which removes your sessions and rsvps with it.
